DIY Hanging Planter Possum Nest

Make a nest for your possums out of hanging planters! Get to wire hanging planer baskets that have coconut fiber lining. Remove the hanging chain from one basket. Poke several holes along the edges of the basket linings and use zip ties to attach the linings to the baskets. Put the baskets with the tops together to make a sphere, and use zip ties to hold the baskets together. Cut an X-shape in the lining of the top basket to make a hole that is the ideal size for your species of possum, roll back each section of the X, and use zip ties to hold the edges open.

Salmon Prawn Popsicle

Make a frozen treat to help cool your cat on warm summer days! Boil the meat for several minutes. Allow the cooking water to cool. Peel each prawn completely and put one in each Popsicle mold. Add some shredded carrot, salmon, and some of your cat’s kibble to the mold. Fill each mold with the cooking water. Put the molds in the freezer to solidify. Once frozen, hold the treat for your cat or put it on a plate for them to enjoy.

DIY Guinea Pig Bowl Hut

Cut out a doorway from the side of each bowl and sand the cut edges of the plastic smooth with sandpaper or a nail file. Glue the bottoms of the bowls together. DIY Shell Rot Treatment

Help your turtle heal from a mild case of shell rot! Use a toothbrush to scrub your pet’s shell clean and remove any dirt or algae, then pat your turtle dry. Use a plastic scraper to clean out any white spots. Soak a cotton swab with either Provodone-iodine or Nolvosan and wipe the solution onto your pet’s shell. Put your turtle in a dry container for a few hours, ensuring they have water to stay hydrated though. Repeat the treatment daily until your turtle has recovered or up to no more than 10 treatments.

DIY Magic Carpet Hammock

Make a hammock for your cat that looks like a flying carpet! Get a beach towel that looks like it could be a magic carpet and fold the towel into three parts with the middle part on the bottom. Make a hole in each corner of the folded towel. Use zpagetti yarn to crochet tassels onto each corner or attach grommets in the holes and sew pre-made tassels onto each corner. Braid pieces of yarn to make ropes, tie the ropes to each corner of the hammock, and use the strings to hang the hammock under a coffee table.

DIY Shower Perch

Make a wall perch for your bird to enjoy a shower! Cut pieces of PVC pipe to the length needed for the perch, main column, and side bars. Put an end cap on one end of each pipe and assemble the perch with PVC connectors. Drill holes near the end caps on each support bar, insert a large suction cup in each hole, and use silicone to glue the suction cups in place if needed. Drill holes through each of the PVC connectors and attach screws in the holes to hold the pipes in place. Wrap the perch bar with veterinary wrap and hang it on a wall in the shower.

Chamomile Hot Spot Treatment

Help your dog’s hot spot heal with a home remedy! Put the dried herbs in a pan of boiling water and let them simmer. Use a strainer to remove the herbs from the water, then put the liquid in a spray bottle. Add the tea tree oil and aloe vera, then shake the bottle to mix the ingredients. Apply the spray to your dog’s hot spot, check after the first treatment to ensure your dog doesn’t have an allergic reaction to the spray, and if safe, repeat the spray every few hours until the spot begins to scab. Keep the bottle in the refrigerator between uses.
